I chose the RNY because I have horible reflu and the lapband can make that worse. RNY is known to cure that. Also because of the amout of weight I need to lose. I am 113 pounds overweight by their calculations so weight loss would be greater than with lapband. My surgeon helped me make the final decison based on what would work best for me. Good luck!!

I started mine 7 days ago my surg is 5:30 tomorrow morning, I have lost 16# and I am week as hell, (mainly because I have not been getting enough protein) my headaches went away 4 days after I started, but I have a consent stomach ache that feels like my stomach is full of jello, & water, and if I drink or eat I will puke.
I can't stand watching TV it seems Papa Johns is having quite the sale this week.. But I hope this all gets better after tomorrow..

Hey we have the same surgery date! Were are surgery sisters! Good luck! Are you on a liquid diet also two weeks prior?

I started the liquid diet on Friday. That was the worst day of all! I had headaches and fatigue. It didn't help that I worked 11 hrs that day. I was wiped out. Today on day 3 I feel great matter of fact I have to remind myself to eat... I a mean drink on schedule. It is definitely a strange. All this time you feel so hungry all the time and it makes it hard to diet and you go on a liquid diet and feel great. Weird.On number 3 and 11 days to go!

I had the lap band on 11-5 as well and I am feeling major pains that feel like hunger pains but I think are lingering gas pains. Are you feeling anything like this?

I don't have any feeling in my throat, but my stomach feels bloated, and full of water, kind of jiggly.. I would love some saltines, but no heartburn. I also have been extra week for 2-3 days, had to have someone drive me home from work.

I've had a hysterectomy in 1996, so I now what it's like to have surgery and I was up and moving around in the same week and you know technology has improved greatly since then.
